How to Bring Our Schools Out of the 20th Century

How to Bring Our Schools Out of the 20th Century

In researching problem-based learning material via the internet, I located this Time magazine article on education utilizing many of the technical tools we have been introduced to during class. Technology is a great tool in achieving the advancement in education. I found this article to be very interesting.
My search continues for scholarly sources for our presentation. However, many of the articles I read on PBl were for other than scholarly resources.
Researching a subject often leads us down many paths, that all have some value.

  1. This is true, where would we be without the advancement of technology? The internet is a part of our daily lives and is accessible in many ways, now through our phones. I think technology has changed the way we learn, take for example our self-instructional method, being able to teach yourself with all the available tools allows one to self-pace. Good day.

  3. Joanne,

Technology is advancing more and more each day. We have gained so much knowledge from the new technology. I often think about the past and wonder how people surrived medical situations. There were hardly any items and medications in the past. Yet, many people surrived the harsh conditons and have lived to tell their stories. I am amazed by some of the simple items they used to cure colds or sore-throats. Technology has really come a long way.
